How many guests can the Terrace accommodate?

Capacity varies depending on the type of event, layout and required service. Once you send us the basic details, we will recommend the most suitable solution.

Is it possible to reserve the entire Terrace for our event?

Yes, on selected dates it is possible to arrange private or semi-private hire. Availability depends on the season, day of the week and time of the event.

How far in advance should we book an event?

We recommend contacting us as early as possible, especially if you are planning an event during the high season, at the weekend or around sunset. For smaller events, we will try to find a solution even at shorter notice.

Can we choose a specific part of the Terrace?

We will be happy to take your preferences into account. The final layout will be recommended based on the number of guests, type of event, weather and operational possibilities.

Can you prepare a tailored menu?

Yes. Depending on the character of the event, we can prepare anything from lighter refreshments and a served menu to a buffet or a combination of food and drinks.

Can you provide vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options?

Yes, by prior arrangement, we can adjust the menu according to guests’ dietary requirements. Just let us know these requests in advance.

Can we bring our own cake or decorations?

Your own cake or decorations are possible by prior arrangement. We will be happy to discuss what can be prepared on the Terrace so that everything fits the space and operation.

Do you have equipment for a presentation or speech?

Technical options depend on the type of event and planned programme. Tell us what you have in mind, and we will check the most suitable solution.

Can guests use the #bubblepointview photopoint?

Yes, access to the photopoint can be included in the event setup. Exact conditions depend on the type of reservation, number of guests and current operation.

Can we continue the event at Black Angel's Bar afterwards?

Yes, subject to availability, a visit to the Terrace can be combined with an evening at Black Angel's Bar or accommodation at Hotel U Prince.

How do we get a price offer?

Send us the basic details of your event - date, number of guests, type of event and your catering preferences. We will prepare an initial offer and recommend the next steps.

What happens if it rains on the day of the event?

We are prepared. The Terrace has a high-quality awning and roofing system. In case of extremely bad weather, and by prior arrangement, the event can be moved to the indoor spaces of Restaurant U Prince.

Can we have our own DJ or live music on the Terrace?

Yes, in case of exclusive Terrace hire, it is possible to arrange your own DJ or live music. However, due to our location directly on the rooftop in Prague’s historic centre, we must follow strict noise limits. For this reason, live music or DJ production is possible only until 10:00 PM due to night-time quiet hours. After 10:00 PM, the atmosphere of the evening may only be accompanied by recorded music in accordance with current restrictions.

How do I get to the Terrace?

The Terrace is located on the 5th floor of Hotel U Prince on Old Town Square. Entrance is through the hotel.

Is entry to the Terrace free, and can I come just to take photos?

Terasa U Prince operates as a bar and restaurant, not as a public viewpoint. For restaurant guests, the view is part of their visit. If you come only to take photos at the iconic #bubblepointview photopoint, a minimum consumption is required at the entrance, which includes a welcome drink.

Do I need a reservation to sit down?

We strongly recommend making a reservation. Capacity on our rooftop terrace is limited, and tables with a direct view of the Astronomical Clock are in high demand all year round. Guests without a reservation are seated only if there is current availability.

Can I come just for a drink?

Yes, you can come just for a drink. However, if you want to secure a table, we recommend making a reservation. Access to the photopoint and selected parts of the Terrace may be regulated depending on current capacity.

Can I reserve a specific table with a view?

We always try to take guests’ preferences into account, but we cannot guarantee a specific table. Seating is assigned based on current occupancy, reservation size and Terrace operations.

Is the Terrace open in bad weather?

Yes. Terasa U Prince is partially covered and heated, so you can visit outside the summer season as well. In case of significantly bad weather, operations may be adjusted according to the current situation.

When is the best time to visit?

It depends on the experience you are looking for. In the morning, the Terrace is calmer; during the day, it offers beautiful views of Old Town; and in the evening, it has a more atmospheric feel. For the most popular times, we recommend booking in advance.

Do you have a dress code?

We do not require a formal dress code. However, we recommend smart casual attire, in keeping with the atmosphere of a rooftop bar in central Prague.

Is there an entrance fee to the Terrace?

Terasa U Prince operates as a bar and restaurant, not as a public viewpoint. For guests with a table reservation, the visit is part of their reservation. For visits without a reservation made solely for taking photos, entry with a welcome drink may be required.
